Hello

I'm glad you're here

I'm Cindy Hosea. I coach, teach, write, and ask a lot of questions.

Over the years, my work has given me a front-row seat to the wonderfully complicated ways people build careers, grow into leadership, change direction, and figure out what matters to them.

Sometimes the interesting part isn't what someone wants to do next. It's why they believe they should want it in the first place.

That curiosity has taken me into leadership coaching, career development, mentor coaching, education, and writing. Different kinds of work, perhaps, but all rooted in a fascination with how people think, choose, learn, and change.

My Thinking

I'm suspicious of one-size-fits-all advice. Especially when it comes to something as personal as a career, a leadership style, or a life.

There's something liberating about asking questions that matter, entertaining unconventional ideas, and occasionally challenging the rules we've been following without quite knowing why.

People are endlessly interesting, too. Just when we think we have ourselves—or someone else—all figured out, something happens that invites us to reconsider.

And while I take my work seriously, I don't think growth has to be solemn. There's room for humor, experimentation, a few wrong turns, and the occasional delightful surprise.

The Craft

Coaching may look like a conversation, but there's a great deal happening beneath the surface.

After more than a decade and thousands of hours of coaching, I've developed a deep respect for the discipline behind the work. The ability to listen beyond what's being said, recognize patterns without rushing to conclusions, and know when a question, an observation, or simply a moment of silence can open up an entirely different way of seeing things.

Earning my Master Certified Coach credential was an important milestone, but mastery isn't a destination. It's a continuing commitment to learning, examining my own assumptions, and refining the art of working with another human being.

My Credentials

ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC)

My experience spans corporate, higher education, government, and nonprofit settings, coaching professionals at different career stages.

My training: Co-Active Coaching · Leadership Circle Profile · Systemic Team Coaching · Hogan Assessments · Safely-Embodied Trauma-Informed · EQ-i 2.0 · Immunity to Change · ICF Mentor Coach Specialization

Beyond the Work

When I'm not coaching, you'll often find me in the garden, pulling weeds, squashing bugs, and growing goodness—literally. I also enjoy reading, writing, and the occasional puzzle.

I've been married for over 30 years. We have two adult children and a dog who keeps life playful.

Raising a child with disabilities teaches me about living with uncertainty, finding humor in strange places, and appreciating life's small wonders.
